Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 6-8

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (7 oz) chow mein noodles
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add Onion and Garlic:
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  4. Mix in Vegetables and Sauces:
Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, mixing well.
  5. Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Top with the chow mein noodles, breaking them into smaller pieces if necessary. If you prefer a cheesy casserole, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake the Casserole:
Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the noodles and melt the cheese (if using).
  7. Serve:
Once the casserole has cooled for a few minutes, it is ready to serve.
