Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 6-8
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 1 can (14.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (7 oz) chow mein noodles
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. - Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat. - Add Onion and Garlic:
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant. - Mix in Vegetables and Sauces:
Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, mixing well. - Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Top with the chow mein noodles, breaking them into smaller pieces if necessary. If you prefer a cheesy casserole, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. - Bake the Casserole:
Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the noodles and melt the cheese (if using). - Serve:
Once the casserole has cooled for a few minutes, it is ready to serve.
