Pineapple Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pineapple, finely chopped or crushed (fresh or canned)
  • 2 tbsp pineapple juice (from the canned pineapple or fresh)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ice Cream Base:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
    • Add a pinch of salt and stir well.
  2. Add Pineapple Flavor:
    • Stir in the finely chopped or crushed pineapple and pineapple juice into the cream mixture.
    • Taste and adjust sweetness or pineapple flavor as needed by adding more sugar or juice.
  3. Chill the Mixture:
    • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until well chilled.
  4. Churn the Ice Cream:
    • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on the machine.
  5. Freeze to Set:
    • Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for 4-6 hours, or until fully set and firm.
  6. Serve & Enjoy!
    • Scoop and serve the refreshing pineapple ice cream! Garnish with a fresh pineapple slice or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor if desired.
