Salted Caramel Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits or chopped caramel candies
  • 1/4 cup sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter & Sugars: In another bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Add Caramel Bits: Stir in caramel bits or chopped caramel candies.
  6. Form Dough & Bake: Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place on the baking sheet. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
  7. Cool & Serve: Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
