Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
  3. Cream Butter & Sugar: In a separate bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in egg, vanilla, and milk until combined.
  5. Combine & Chill: Gradually add dry ingredients, mix well, then chill dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Shape & Bake: Scoop dough into small balls, place on a baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Cool & Enjoy: Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
