Air Fryer Ribeye Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (1 to 1.5 inches thick)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat the Air Fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
2️⃣ Prepare the Steaks:

  • Pat the ribeyes dry with a paper towel.
  • Brush both sides with olive oil or butter.
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Add fresh rosemary or thyme if desired.
    3️⃣ Cook in the Air Fryer:
  • Place the steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Adjust time based on desired doneness (see below).
    4️⃣ Check Doneness with a Meat Thermometer:
  • Rare: 120-125°F (49-52°C)8-9 min
  • Medium-rare: 130-135°F (54-57°C)10-11 min
  • Medium: 140-145°F (60-63°C)11-12 min
  • Medium-well: 150-155°F (65-68°C)12-13 min
  • Well-done: 160°F+ (71°C+)14-15 min
    5️⃣ Rest & Serve:
  • Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve with butter, steak sauce, or a side of roasted veggies.

Tips for the Best Air Fryer Steak:

Use thick-cut ribeye (1-1.5 inches) for juicier results.
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer—cook in batches if needed.
Let the steak rest before cutting to keep it juicy.
Add butter & herbs for extra flavor after cooking.
