
Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients:
For the Sandwiches:
- 12 Hawaiian rolls (King’s Hawaiian recommended)
- ½ lb sliced ham (honey or smoked)
- 6 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar/provolone)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional for a tangy kick)
For the Buttery Glaze:
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional, for crunch)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for a hint of sweetness)
Instructions:
1. Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
2. Assemble the Sandwiches
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half (keeping them connected).
- Spread mayo and/or Dijon mustard on the bottom half.
- Layer ham and cheese evenly.
- Place the top half of the rolls back on.
3. Make the Buttery Glaze
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, and poppy seeds.
- Brush the buttery glaze evenly over the tops of the rolls.
4. Bake to Perfection
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- After removing the foil, bake for 5 more minutes. The Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sandwich should be golden brown and slightly crispy.
5. Serve & Enjoy!
